Dr Sohom Das is a writer and Psychiatrist living in North London.
Dr Das has just entered his forties, kicking and screaming, and tries to compensate with an edgy haircut. He lives in London with his tolerant wife and two young sons. The 5-year old is a mathematical genius, and the 3-year old loves ponies. Like, LOVES them.
Dr Das is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, working in prisons and criminal courts, assessing and rehabilitating mentally ill offenders. He works as an expert witness in criminal and civil court cases. Serious stuff. He’s got a beard* and everything.
He is admittedly relatively new to authoring fiction, though is fortunate enough to have already had some competition success and several short stories accepted for publication, in numerous online and print magazines. Within a year of starting to write short stories, he has had stories published in the Oddville Press, Chantwood Magazine, The Fiction Pool, Literally Stories and Dark Fire Magazine. He's also placed second or third in a few competitions (Michael Terence Publishing, Reader-Writer Lounge, and World Writer's Collective).
In between work, parenting (or delegation thereof), he occasionally dabbles in stand-up comedy and battle rapping on TV (footage on 'random things' page). Oh – he’s also working on his debut novel.
